Yet another week has gone by... one week closer to getting Krispy home. Waiting can be tiresome, but it's well worth it. When was instant gratification ever a real reward, anyway?

I was down with flu earlier this week, and between the fibro *and* having my period, all at the same time as the flu, I've felt like utter cr*p. The bitter cold combined with relatively high humidity has wreaked havoc on my back, knees, and neck. Waking up mornings feeling like a truck has spent the night parked on top of you is no fun. The game plan for the weekend is to get up off my lazy tush and do some tidying up, this place is a bona fide disaster area. It's as if a bomb filled with laundry and junk mail went off in the middle of my living room. The implications for the bad Feng Shui are more than a little worrisome.

Nothing terribly exciting to report this weekend. Krispy's applying for another good position, please keep your fingers crossed and wish him lots of luck. Starting this week, I ought to be able to start working a lot more overtime, please keep your fingers crossed that I will. I've got to get myself set and prove myself a worthy sponsor for a delightful British spouse.

Anyway, that's the long and short of it. My back is killing me, and it hurts too much to sit and type for too long. Just wanted to check in and let everyone know I'm hanging in there and things are going all right.

Thank you to everyone who has sent me email this past week, they have all made me feel really good and brightened each day.

Glad you may be getting more overtime, I know you have wanted it for a while.

I hope you start feeling more like yourself soon.

Thank you, Abbi! I went to see Return of the King again (the third time, heheh) tonight, so I feel better and I'm good and tired. I bet I'll sleep well tonight and will feel much, much better tomorrow!

The flu was bad on top of the other stuff. I know you had it not long ago, too, and it was just awful for you. Here's to better health for the lot of us, eh?

Wow, Willem, thanks for sharing that with me! All of the links worked fine, and the photos are beautiful. Your nephew is a gorgeous boy, and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading about the vegetation of your area.

I've bookmarked your web page, so I can check back for updates and re-read all of the information there. I love learning about plants and trees and animals! The photos of the flowers were exceptionally beautiful... I share your feelings about cultivating natural specimens and not trying to "improve" on Nature's beauty. I think she has the plants and animals darn near perfectly designed already.

Glad to hear you've had a good week, and expect this one to be even better. I'll be holding thumbs for you as well. Thank you. Now, I'm off to finish reading what you've shared about living with schizophrenia. I hope it will help give me a better understanding.

Oh, and I have managed a bit of a mad tidy up around the house, which has made me feel much better! Mostly, I just grabbed a bunch of sweaters and stuffed them on the closet floor. I've got things almost back to normal. All that's left is to get the bathroom sparkling, and wash floors tomorrow evening (too hard to do when my roommate's home and wandering about the place).

I phoned Terri late this morning, and we talked for a couple of hours. I enjoy hearing from her, she's a remarkable lady and a laugh riot. She shared something with me that made me very proud, and I'm happy to say that she seems to be keeping on all right in spite of everything. I also spoke with Krispy yesterday, he seems to be recovering well from his illness and things are getting back to "normal". I should be able to submit my application, along with all the necessary notarized documents and photos, within the next two weeks. Please pray that I haven't screwed up or omitted anything, and that the waiting game won't be drawn out by any more mistakes.

My friend Stacy's invited me over for a couple of hours this evening for a spaghetti dinner. I've had a craving for pasta and haven't hung out with her all week, so I'm all over that! And I can still be home and in bed nice and early.

Well, I had a lovely pasta dinner and a couple glasses of wine, while watching "Breakfast At Tiffany's" and being a big girly-girl. Alas, I did *not* get home and in bed early, and suffered for it at work today, but I've been in worse shape so no harm, no foul.

I also did *not* get my bathroom or my floors cleaned yet. Nor do I intend to do so this evening.

Well, I'm off for now to snuggle under my comforter and watch some crap TV till it's time for sleep. Have a good night, all!

He hasn't heard back yet from the one place, but he's also looking into other positions. Hopefully we'll have good news soon!

As for me, I had a barrage of work come flying at me yesterday, so at least till it's caught up, I get to work from 6:00 AM till 4:30 (or later...) and it looks like I can plan on going in on Saturdays from 7:00 till around lunchtime at least. Yay! The good news is, it is only a few weeks before the busy season usually starts, so the work might not slow down till June or July.
