h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well, it's Wednesday, 17th December, and it's nearly time for me to head off to England for the holidays. I can't believe I leave this Friday- where did the time go? I still haven't got done all of the things I'd hoped to before I leave,

I have gotten some clothes and necessities packed, the ones I won't need in the next two days. I still have to wash a few clothes tomorrow when I get home from work. I'm bringing along a few gifts I've found for Krispy, and by this time tomorrow my bags will be packed and I'll be ready to head to the airport after a half day's work Friday. I may even be lucky enough to meet with Kaz and Moonglum this time- woohoo!

No matter how much I look forward to the destination, I am never very keen on the actual traveling bit, it's a hassle, it's scary, and it's a major deviation from my comfortable routines. I'm kind of funny- obsessive, really- about my space and my routines and having things "just so". It's hard to do that away from home, regardless of who I'm with or where I'm at. It makes me a bit wound up and high-strung. Everyone pray I'll be able to settle down and feel totally at home and not feel like I'm imposing on Krispy, or feel homesick or anything. It's funny how things that bring us so much joy can also cause us quite a bit of anxiety.

I imagine I'll be able to check in once or twice while I'm there, but I won't be here as much, and while I'll be having fun, I'll miss hearing from you all quite a bit. Everyone had better take good care and bahave as badly as possible while I'm away.

As for seeing us, we will have to see I'm afraid. Remember my cold and bugs, well they were finally going on Monday, after the emotion over Fluffy they are coming back and I have bronchitus again. Means I can't get out in the cold, its so annoying. Means this saturday might be no-go, shame I have no way of contacting you on the day to let you know how I am

Hi you guys, thanks for all the good wishes. I'll fill you in on everything when I return!

Kaz, I'm emailing you my mobile and Krispy's home numbers in case you feel better by Saturday and want to contact me that way. If not, I'd still like to talk with you at least once while I'm there. Maybe on my way back, if not on my arrival.

Either way, take care of your bronchitis and of Fluffy and keep hanging in there. Your health is very important to me.

Have a good trip PCandy!! I'm sorry you probably won't get to see this post before you go, but I hope you have a great trip! Don't worry about being homesick, I know you will settle in quickly and be so happy to be with your fiance. It wouldn't matter if you were both on the moon! (So long as you had some space suits)

I'm so excited about Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King. I have tickets for next Monday night. I've waited a few days because I want to go with my family. I'm trying to avoid talking to anyone who has seen it, as I want it to be a complete surprise. I know a few things that happen in the book, but not a lot. My brother said that some audiences are actually standing up and cheering during the film, while at other parts the audience is completely quiet, to catch every word.
