Ways to Clean One's Computer
Mu Beta Started conversation Feb 18, 2005
After delving into the deep dark world of P2P, I found my computer started crashing quite a lot.
So, in a safety-conscious frame of mind, I updated my anti-virus software, and installed a firewall and anti-spyware software.
Still crashing.
So, I took the back off, and gave the interior and all the fans a good dust! Little brushes and everything. It is now utterly reliable - I recommend more people do this more often.

Don't use a bog standard vacuum cleaner though. Not unless you want to watch all those little screws you've just taken out vanish for ever.

Well, I did use the vacuum cleaner, as it happened. But I was sensible to stash the very, very small screws elsewhere first.

It was blu-tack; fancy you forgetting.
Blue fluff was mostly what the component boards in my PC were covered with and instigated the authorship of this journal entry.

Well I can't be expected to remember everything that you keep tucked away in your body cavities!
