fords - number 1 all over heaven Posted Dec 30, 2004
How can I be a gullible fool if I've tried playing DSOTM alonside the Wizard of Oz and found it works?

I never said it was an urban myth. I tried to imply it's the sort of sad coincidence that gets conspiracy theorists all excited.

Im with B on the sound of music... Theres two films have never seen, and will leave the house rather than watch. I plan to keep it this way. They are Grease and the Sound of Music

I take your point on Grease. Every time it comes on, I get these chills. Multiplying, they are. And I can feel myself losing control...

That may be something to do with the supply of electrical power through the TV while the film is playing.

I would also like to see someone conduct an experiment into whether it is actually possible to apply grease to lightning, and if that would produce any useful results.

I'm not really here Posted Dec 31, 2004
Thanks G!
You've got this bit the wrong way round -
"as the Witch of the East looks at the body of her dead sister, the Witch of the West"
http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/People/rgs/wizoz10.html
" "You are welcome, most noble Sorceress, to the land of the Munchkins. We are so grateful to you for having killed the Wicked Witch of the East, and for setting our people free from bondage." "

Thanks, Mina! I've put in an update request with the Eds to change that.

Ah yes the Sound of Music -- its rare that one sees a film set during WW2 that make you want to cheer for the Nazis. It is the kind of movie that you can only sit through if you're taking massive doses of insulin to avoid falling into a diabetic coma. I did once enjoy watching it with some perverted housemates, drinking heavily and making endless crude sexual comments about 'my favorite things'
