It has been moderated already thankfully, suffice to say it involved a lot of four letter words beginning with C and F and linked with nazi (i.e. a nazi ****) and (upon the assumption that I am an american) a rant on the correctness of the strikes against the US on 9/11, he saif the US deserved it as its citizens were ...... you can guess the sort of thing and followed up with the wish that I had been one of the victims. He went further to suggest that any future attacks should be targetted at the US in the hope of me being a victim. Not exactly a pleasant message as you can imagine. My original posting to him was:

T'mershi Dunween - Don't even bother attempting to insult me, your pathetic and childish attempts to bait me are so banal (to be frank) that I can't really even call them insults. Do you have any command of the english language? Try going to a library and getting out some Oscar Wilde or even a Monty Python tape... maybe re-hashing someone else's insults may make you an interesting combatant. As it is, crawl back under your stone you pathetic, inarticulate worm.

I realise that this was insulting, but so are all the posts on this thread. Any normal person would have sent back a " your parents were siblings" type response. I'm not sure what aspect of my posting was any different to any other postings in this particular thread, but he is obviously an inadeqate to have to resort to such inappropriate language and descriptions. Perhaps that really is his problem

Oh well, Hubby has ranted back at the bloke in question publically on ask h2g2 and has defended my honour.

Thanks for getting in touch though, I was feeling quite alone on this.

Yu're certainly not alone on this, I've been pretty active all night as you'll see if you go on to our "french-type" conversation; I think it's probably better if we carry on talking there, this one's a bit too obvious in the circumstances!

Hi mrs. wanted to stop by, so sorry you had all those troubles.That thread was suppose to be play insulting. I was afraid someone would go to far. I went there expecting honest critque of h2g2. Saw it was not. (T) got in the middle without knowing. I apologized, explained on his thread. (in the begining weeks ago). He came back to it and hung out there. I have not been there except to throw tomatos! I did not read the offending problem. Bits and pieces, sound way out there TOO FAR! Sorry that unpleasant stuff happened. Hope you are feeling some better by now. I am American, (did not read tho!)*sounds like I'd be glad, it was taken off!
