But does it really matter?
What would you prefer - everybody pronouncing your name wrong, which you would eventually get used to and accept as your name, or everybody calling you 'man' etc.

I would correct them in the proper pronunciation of my name, not unless they had some kind of speech impediment. Well, I did take the time to help my sister in-law to properly pronounce my name because of a speech impediment. She pronounced my name as Fwank. She was embarrassed when I tried to help her, but soon came around and tried an idea that I came up with. I divided my name in two syllables (fer -ank) for her and with just a little practice she soon learned to pronounce it properly. She used this idea in other words she had trouble with also.

Surely language, and therefore whatever God's name is in a certain language, is just a human construct anyway. It seems to me that there are two important things about Gods name:
1. It's meaning - I believe it means 'He causes to become'
2. What it stands for, that is, Gods reputation and the fact that he, the only Almighty God (note capital), is superior to and distinct from all other gods (note lack of capital).

That is why I prefer to refer to our Heavenly Father and Creator by the Name Yahweh because it means, 'He Who causes to exist'. The TITLES lord and god do not in any way represent this meaning.

True. I'm not denying that God has a name, or that we should use it. My point is simply that, whether we pronounce it Yahweh, Jehovah, Jahveh, or Yahowah, all pronunciations I have come across (and they're just the English ones!), it still means, 'He Who causes to exist'. And as long as it is used, and we know what it means, do you really think He minds which version we use?

I have no problem with the slight various transliterations of the Name that are used as long as they do not give reference to pagan deities. It is a well known fact that the name Jehovah is a hybrid name and is an erronous transliteration. I light of this I would definately not use the form Jehovah because of the intermingling with pagan names/titles and the fact that it is an erronuos tranliteration.
