Hi mistymarsh thank you for your coment about my page,but to be honest it is nothing next to some of the other reserches,I keep meaning to make it better but to be honest there is so much to do around here that I never get around to it ,if you go back to my page, about half way down the page you will some words one on top of the other. if you click on the word "pictures" it will take you to wear you can get the pictures from,if you have any problems at all do not hesitate to ask,I might not know the answer but i will know a man who does,

Your a star, all this web chat is a bit new to me but this site is just so good and with people like you helping out the people like me it's just going to get better and better. Do you just surf around reading the info and making comment where interested or are you a full blown published writer?

Hi mistymarsh I have only been on H2G2 for about three weeks but I find so much to do that I dont go on the net any moreI used to go on the net and just wonder around never finding anything very intresting,

Hi mistymarsh, it look's like you have got the hang of the smiley's, the way you are doimg the smileys is ok if you are posting to a conversation, or if you want to put one on you own page in plane text, there is nothing roung with having your own page in plain text.but if you want to have youe own page in GuideML,then you use the second way you was trying,witch is <smiley type="AAAAA" </smiley> ("A" being the name of the smiley), the advantage of haveing your page in GuideMl is that you can put all the pictures on it and all diferent thing's on it. but if you dont want to, then leave it the way it is, it look's ok to me.

Hi Manda

I tried changing the style on my page but it kept comming up with a server error - I'll have to look into that one.

I tried doing the friendly thing and saying Hi to a new researcher but I don't seem to have your knack for starting conversations. Have to practice I guess. Found the picture library, seems pretty good. Does it have to pictures from the libray or is there anyway to import pictures from say my own hard drive? (if there is but it's long and complicated tell me there isn't)

Hi Mistymarsh,nice to know you are trying diferet things,if it do's not work first time them just try again, when you press the "EDIT PAGE" button, underneth the part were you write you text you will see something that says "CHANGE STYLE" next to it you will see two styles, the first is plain text the next is GuideML, click on the GuideML,and then click on the "CHANGE STYLE" button and it will change the style, then you can go to the picture page and copy the picture code and put it on your page, (if you do not know how to copy just ask,).There is a way to put your own pictures on your page, but like you said it is long and complicated,you have to send your picture in and then wait for someone to turn it in to code to put it on your page,have you tryed the H2G2 tour yet,or have had a look at the questions page,let me know if you need any more help,I am always ready to help,
