Mushy Mayt.

I'm getting excited because my natural history club, the Junior Rangers, is going to be meeting up soon!! Can't wait! We're going to be working on a new nature reserve in Linn Park - the Millenium Wood - a project that's provided us with lots of laughs over the past couple of months. The latest addition to it was our "Tree Lady". She is the product of a craft project that turned into a bit of a travesty....we were supposed to be carving a barn owl into a log, but the darn thing just looked like a woman, and one thing led to another, and now we have a great big sculpture of a naked lady. As it's a family sort of place, the countryside rangers who arranged the project weren't too pleased, so we've been feverishly sanding and chiselling to make her more obvious features more acceptable for public viewing.

At least, I can always say that each new experience with the club brings surprises, if nothing else!

If you're interested, the club has a new site at

www.geocities.com/junior_rangers

It's pretty sketchy, and still under construction, but so far, it really creates the atmosphere of the club - almost like actually being there...only without being wet, muddy....

Share and Enjoy!!
