Searching online for colleges has gone from being a form of procrastination to being an obsession. It's like all I've done for the first two days of Spring Break! So last night I devised this crazy system of rankings and calculations for the colleges I'm interested in, and I came up with my top 10 colleges: NYU, Oberlin, Boston University, Vassar, Tufts, Barnard, Binghamton (my safety school), Brandeis, U Penn, and Haverford. Of course this is subject to change, but I think it's a good start. I was thinking, it's really ridiculous to apply to so many Ivy League schools, especially since I'm aiming for someplace that's going to give me a whopping scholarship. I should go somewhere where THEY want ME, where I'll feel comfortable, and where I can get a really big scholarship. From all I've read about Ivy League schools, they seem really unappealing, like everyone is just trying to show off how brilliant they are. I don't want that. Okay, so the name on the degree looks good, but it's not like I'm trying to get into medical school or anything. I want to be a musician, so what the hell would be the difference if I went to Oberlin or Princeton?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
