Please come If we start letting the terrorists prevent us from doing waht we want then they've gotten half way to their 'ends' < Anyhow... anyone mad enough to try something on a saturday, and on the saturday we're having the meet, will have me to answer to and I think true* insanity and outsantity would just beat them into the dust

Hello all
I'm very sad and shocked about what happened, but it will not prevent me from going to the meet. Hubby and I agreed that it's highly unlikely to happen again next weekend, it's just that public transport could be a problem, but I'll cope with that, can't be worse than the six hours delay I had last year.

WE, people that is, are generally very bad at assessing 'risk'. Even with the bombs yesterday in London, we were each all more likely to hav egotten run over by a car and killed than affected by th terrorists.... I know i Often have very odd views on stuf fcompaired to some people, but it is all a matter of risk; last time I was in a t train crash, I traveled on anothe rtrain later on the same day, which I know a few poeple thought weird, but didn't seem anything odd to me So not only is another attack so close to one (under the current modus operandum of these terrorists) highly unlikely, but also an attack is highly unlikely at a weekend (as they want to cause maximum havvock by hitting mid week rush hours), but also, the risk is just practically non existant anyhow as of how such things work

I am still coming, I am brave and defiant and also don't often get the chance of a kids-free p*ss-up
I'm a bit torn about using the underground now, though - often I avoid it and walk across London because I don't like being with lots of other people in an enclosed space (I tell myself it's because I like exploring new places and revisiting old ones, but actually that's a bit of an excuse), but it looks like it will be fairly empty. Buses I never use anyway cos I'm worried about getting lost.
