h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

In an attempt to bring some balance to my guide entries and nt come across as quite such a deluded hippy id like to write an entry on cold reading, which fake mediums n psychics use to con people , its quite clever really n no ive never cold read anyone myself

Anyone care to help?

I did an experiment on this with some psychology students so although I am a sceptic I will help if you think it won't clash with your beliefs. I would never diss anyone else's beliefs because who knows , they could be right?
I can do tarot readings but as a game or amusement for other people..I just read what comes up, don't believe in it.I do know though how cold reading works and that people ,as we proved, only remember the bits that they feel are about them selves.They tend to forget the bits that don't refer to them.

oh im a terrible sceptic myself tabs! until i see smething work for myself i dont believe it and take most psychics with a pinch of salt to start with.
you dont have to believe in the tarot to read them, they are merely keys to deeper parts ofour own subconcious in the archetypal pics they hold no ower of their own.
