Serephina, you are in a bl***y mess, aren't you? I thought I was, but you really have all the problems going. I hope you manage to get sorted out.
And after the -oscopy, you'll have a sore throat for a couple of days, but not much else. Just go ahead and pretend you're the doctor examining your insides. Forget they're your own insides.
What a day..

Right kid, listen to me. I am exactly like you regarding strange things being shoved down me throat (yeah, yeah, there are exceptions, but that's voluntary!) & also have health probs which make them unwilling to give me a general.
I utterly 100% point blank refused to have it done without being totally out. Eventually they agreed. They make you stop smoking 24 hours ahead, which is a pain & they give you oxygen mask 6 hours ahead, which is a hassle. They feed you valium or whatever beforehand & you honestly don't remember going under, when you wake up you just have a bit of a sore throat & feel like you had a few too many drinks last night; you will no doubt doze off again.Apparently you only have to be totally out for a matter of minutes.
I am the worlds stroppiest, most cowardly patient.

I was totally knocked out but i had to raise hell for being able to be so. I think i only succeeded cos i was so much trouble. But as i say, i suspect they only actually had me knocked out for a very short time.
