Hello,

I hope you don't mind some concern. I was just wondering how your attacks were, if you got some help from the doctor and generally how you are doing.

Just wanted you to know that a fellow anxiety/panic attacker wishes you well!

How nice!

Glad you found some alternatives. I started getting my panic attacks in my early 20s, they subsided and then hit me hard again in my middle 30s. Now they are manageable through deep breathing and an acknowledgement that they are just a part of my life and they will pass. Glad that the Bach Rescue Remedy helps. I have a prescription called atavan that I have in my medicine chest. However I rarely use it, just sometimes knowing it is there is enough!

Glad you are finding some relief!

I did mention the panic attacks to the dr tonight whilst there for something else n se jus nodded n ummed smiley - erm
If it doesn't stop soon (ive started my anti depressants again after leaving them for a couple of months) i'll go back n moan. They do seem less severe which is good, last night i was convinced the room was closing in on me!

That is a horrible feeling. I sometimes physically jump out of bed and run. That is if I wake up in one. I find if I exercise regularly, don't drink too much and surround myself with some social events, they subside a bit. However when I'm stressed, I don't get in enough exercise, I drink more and I don't get a chance to see my friends. Do you have a group of silly women you can get out with and just giggle? I am very fortunate in that I have several groups and sometimes just telling them my woes and laughing about them takes some of the stress off of the situation.

As far as meds, I think, sometimes your body needs a little breathing room so your mind can make some adjustments. I think meds give the body a chance to not work so hard so that the mind and inner soul can regroup and solve whatever it is that it is trying to deal with.

Feeling very pleased with myself this morning as I slept almost all night smiley - biggrin Tis a wonderful relief.

Getting out n seeing people is something I really have to work on. Ive been oing through a terribly lethargic n doing nothing phase , a side affect of depo provera I think, resulting in scary weight gain n a very sore knee! smiley - puff

I really want to do voluntary work again but no one seems to want me smiley - cross

Well then they don't know what they are missing do they?

I think a big help for you is to get out and be with people. Cultivate some relationships. Getting togther and being silly has saved me from spiraling down into depression. Tonite I am getting together with some women I met a few years ago when our sons were on the same basketball team. We have spent the last few years together and just havea laugh fest whenever we are together. We never do anything phenominal, it is usually just dinner, or sometimes a drink, but there is alot of talk and laughter. It is wonderful for the soul!

Yep, sometimes just getting together with friends starts things moving in a positive direction. It is really hard to motivate yourself to do that, but it gets easier with each baby step you take!

Congrats on the night sleep. Isn't it absolutely heavenly??
