Hello and welcome to h2g2! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
I'm an ACE (assistant community editor). ACEs are volunteers who greet newbies (like yourself) and try to make themselves generally useful around h2g2.
I prepared a list of links which you may find useful.

The best advice I can give is to just dive in! Click the "who's online" button and pick an interesting name. Go to there space and start a conversation by clicking the "discuss this entry" button.
Any questions, come to this thread and ask me.

thanx for the welcome words.... though you must have forgotten me, 3 seconds is long gone by...
seems just writing one issue is not enough to be a true hiker, but then I just had other things, like fighting the infernal machine, the graet demon called windows. :->
