Well hello there James Wood and welcome to h2g2
I am one of the ACE's (Assistant Community Editor) around here who like to drop by and make new visitors feel at home and help them around the site
I see that you have already written something ( I enjoyed reading it, thank you), so it appears that you are already into exploring.
Firstly, you may, or may not, like to use smileys in your typings. The easiest way to learn is to track one down! Click on this and you will be majically transported to the smiley homepage.
Secondly, if you want to write for the official Guide, it is wise to check out the writing guidelines. A handy link to writing, using GuideML (the text mark-up code used on h2g2) and other items of official standing can be found here: A658127
If you want to plunge in and meet people, join in with a certain club or enter into serious discussion, then check out the Community Pages, hosted by our online newspaper <.>thepost</.>

Here's hoping you enjoy your time at h2g2
