... when I call up a customer services desk, and instead of giving me the answer at the beginning of the conversation (which consisted of unchecking a box in a particular form), I have to give out my personal details, wait for the lass to talk to her line manager, give more details about a specific person's file I'm working on, be put on hold again, and then, finally be told the answer.

It could have been a thirty second phone call. It went on for over quarter of an hour.

I'm sure they have to have this procedure in place for a reason and it wasn't the lass' fault that she was (probably) new and didn't know the answer, but it's enough to have completely derailed my morning.

May I refer the honourable lady to a posting made just over 24hrs ago.
