I have installed works 08 on my new iMac (lion 10.7) but the files I created on my old iMac G5 don't open properly - no text visible.
Any solution?

False alarm, I've solved it already - just needed to run a software update.

Can't say I notice any great improvement with lion...
I guess I'm so used to how to do things with tiger that I don't appreciate the new facilities. Like the scrolling on the magic mouse though.

I hope to have a fleeting play with Lion later on today; I need to erase and reinstall my Hackintosh, and I just "happen" to have a Lion GM (Gold Master) disk lying around. I won't be sticking with it, as I'd rather use the Snow Leopard I paid for, but I'd just like a play out of interest...
