HI,
I tried Laphroig, not quite my favorit too peaty. As you may guess from the port wood finish I am more enamoured by the sweet and fuity flavours. I once had a strong whiskey from a deep ruby colour and a flavours just how i like it, but I can't remember nor have I found it again 
I wonder what the malaga wood finish of Glenmorangie tasts like, but I'm afraid I have to wait until I can afford it ...
