Depressing, some of it, angry, certainly, but for me, "angsty" conjures up images of Alanis Morisette.

Oh, and incidentally, the System of A Down video was directed by the highly talented writer/director Michael moore, who once got arrested on the set of a Rage Against the MAchine video.

Incidentally, if anyone wants to see the System of a down video that MTV won't show them, if you go to http://www.michaelmoore.com/ and scroll down past the Bowling for Columbine ad, letter to Dubya, and stupid white men ad, you get a link to watch the video. Unfortunately, the university put restrictions on the computers which means *I* can't view it, but I'm sure some of you can.

I just heard Johnny Cash covering 'Hurt' by NIN on the radio. Very wierd.

I actuaklly think it's a good version (but then again I love Johnny Cash), but I do prefer the NIN version.

Interstingly, I heard Johnny's first, then a friend of mine, another Johnny Cash fan, leant me his CD of "The Downward Spiral", and i think that NIN's version is probably better, I like the way the words are almost too quiet, but the kind of world-weariness of Cash gives it an intesting new dimension.

Twas a surprise mainly, I was there beavering away, working hard (yeah right) when suddenly I think, 'I recognise those lyrics' and im confused to hear...

That song goes so long back in my life, I dont even have to be listening for the lyrics to stand out...

Wait? What station is playing Johnny Cash's version of *hurt*?

BTW - I have had problems with the SOAD download on Michael Moore's page...might have been a one off, but beware just in case.

I had trouble with the SOAD vid too... but I my conectrion lame so I'm not that surprised...
