Jesus f**king Christ!!!!

How many people get stabbed in this city?

Lets make this clear for those of you that don't know. Bristol may be a pretty important part of the UK, but it is very very small in terms of size and population and in contrast to other cities.

Yet there has been ANOTHER stabbing here. That has to be coming up to twenty people who have died in the last year through stabbing in my immediate vicinity. And when you take into consideration that a LOT of incidences like that go unreported to the police, let alone the media...there must be more than that that have occurred.

Gun crime? Birmingham? Yeh right. If Bristol hasn't been declared the most dangerous place to live in by now, I shall eat my hat. I can think of 5 recent murders from the last few months off the top of my head...

Can I put in a bid for High Wycombe being the most dangerous place? I don't live there though! smiley - winkeye

Downtown Eastside Vancouver. Highest per capita drug related crime site in Canada. Fourth highest in North America. Look at it across the inlet from my place. Close enough?

Well, first of all it's *per capita* and the area is not all that built up, being our 'skid road'. Secondly it is all concentrated in a space about a mile square, which one avoids. Lastly the water is wide and deep and cold!smiley - laugh

Definately not here in Knowle. Ive been mugged at knifepoint...
As well as being mugged by threat of numbers, and my little brother was pinned against a wall by two kids on mopeds with crash helmets, a mate of mine was jacked by a taxi driver the other night when the driver drove into an industrial estate where his mates were waiting.

I see at least one fight every time I go into town and for some reason I still walk everywhere?

I know! And I still walk around in the dark. Never come across *that* much trouble...except a few sleazy men every now and again. Then I walk fast. I still don't know how I manage to stand in the taxi queue on a Friday night with all the drunken morons and not get beaten up...

Maybe that is why i don't go out much!? smiley - bigeyes

Bob, I might be sending Saturnine a little packet in return for some BBC things she would buy me there I can't buy here. Would you like any BC Hemp papers or something similarly small? (and legal)smiley - laugh
