There I was thinking I could actually get some writing done...but no no no. I wonder whether I am actually going to get anywhere near finishing this book at the rate I am going. Perhaps it's some kind of Freudian anxious avoidant stage. Or writers block. Or ing incapability.
So anyway, I'm up to 15, and have a nice big space waiting. 14 took 3000 words quite easily, but didn't feel too hefty. Bores me senseless to tell you the truth. Post-publishing, I'll hate to see the reviews. "Boring, nonsensical and basic trash - buy this at your peril". Ho hum. I wonder why. But it has to be finished, just for my own sensibilities. If I don't, then what else is there? I'm just trying to think of what the 60, 000-odd words will look like finished, and what I can get done after, and what I can buy and etc etc. And of being able to burn it and commit suicide, but that's another matter altogether.

.. to be honest, most book reviewers prefer either reviewing good books or trashing known authors.. rest pretty much assured that if your book really is that bad (and I have no reason to believe that it is.. far from it), it probably at least won't make it to (too many) review pages. ..
In any case, whilst I'm not in much position to comment, you seem to me to be the sort of person who's more likely to be self critical than not. Another reason for having more faith in your book. .. (in any case, you can always resort to subediting and rewriting. .. having a journalist as a father, I know how much of this goes on. ).. and the offer of proof-reading the book still stands!
btw, out of interest, do you use any particular sort of messaging medium whilst online? msn, aim, icq, irc, jabber?.. *muses*
..(and would you mind if I added you to my friends list & the list at the bottom of my uspace?)

No...more...editing...no more...rewriting...no more...no more...no MORE! AAAAAARGHHH!
Considering that this has been in the pot for 3 years AND I'm re-editing on the way, I refuse point blank to even consider that option. It's more the story and how it pans out that I'm worried about, as opposed to the quality of my writing. Anxiety. I'm sure it will be fine at the end of the day...I mean, I couldn't be worse than Ben Elton Second thoughts, rather a bad review than no review at all
Believe it or not...I'm not *TECHNICALLY* online. If you have ever come across nutters ranting about Telewest digiboxs, then I'm one of those. We get through via links and email and dodgy connections of the BBC interactive sites. So no MSN or ICQ...yet. Once the moolah rolls in, I I *will* get myself hooked up properly...and legally I suppose...wouldn't want to move out and leave this place behind.
And yes yes yes...add me on...I don't
mind
