h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi there Mina,

Following a recent conversation about bilingual babies(F19585?thread=230929), I've tried creating a 'bilingual baby alphabet' for h2g2 (don't ask me why - it just seemed like a good idea at the time!)

The trouble is that I can't find appropriate blobs for all the letters. What's the chance of commissioning the Community Artists to produce some if I give you a list of what's missing?

We're not taking any commisions at the moment I'm afraid.

We're hoping to allow the to design for the Community, but it'll be limited to clubs and societies. Can you turn it into a society? If it's well-run and has lots of active members, then you'll be eligible for a piccy...

Can I turn it into a society? Not really, it was more of a one-off set of entries... I don't think this sort of document currently exists, either on the web or in real life so I thought it might be good to put one together here...

Ok, I'll resort to plan 2: hanging around the front page and the graphics libraries until blobs appear that I can use. When it's eventually finished it might be worth giving it a bit of publicity on the PtoP site...

Posted to PtoP feedback, but I get this strange feeling that the only person likely to answer that thread is Peta... Can't seem to find any way of directly contacting anyone on their staff (it's a bit confusing as the DNA section is completely integrated into the BBC/Parenting site as a whole - they don't even appear to use entries on the site.

The only other posting on there wasn't even answered. I suppose you can only wait and see. They don't have entries there, because they want people to talk about the things that they put up - it's a place for questions and answers really.
