Would the great 80,000+ ton battlewagon of the Second World War, the "Musashi" of the IJN,the sister ship of the Yamoto, been named after this warrior ?

Probably yes. Spesaking of things being named after... In the Anime Pokemon, the villians are named Musashi and Kojiro in the original japanese.
