Hi Alan, Haven't heard from you for a while. We were cross-posting yesterday and I tried to catch your attention but failed. Have you checked your e-mails lately? Windy

Ah, hah. You find me. I've emailed and posted on yours, today. Will have a good trawl through the board later, and mail again. You mentioned bemused and bewildered recently ...... I'm beginning to feel the same at the moment. Intrigued though. I'll check my emails again soon.

Hiya! You posted me and I posted you and we all e-mailed together and seem to be turning every which way but....
Anyway, I've e-mailed, posted and written in my journal - we will catch up soon..
Becoming concerned

Hi Alan, I have had a message from our mutual friend who asks me to tell you that they are becoming concerned about you. Is there a problem with your usual method of communication? If so, I can pass on messages for you if you wish. Regards, Windy.
Becoming concerned

Thanks, Windy. Tell all not to worry. My own PC's down at the moment. It seems that the reason the motherboard was advantageously priced when I built it, was that it was about to become redundant (and now is!). The processor fits to a modified socket for which I now need an adaptor - or more likely a new motherboard - so I think I might as well build again from scratch with all the latest and quicket gizmos.
I'm using a PC 'on loan' from the office presently - all email traffic passes through the company hub, so I'm a bit reluctant to access AOL via a 'third party' so to speak.
Never mind, once I'm back up and running soon, I should be operating at twice the speed - if only I could crank the old brain cells up as well!
I see Charlie's started frequenting the Bull .. .. I might try a pint in there one day.
cya soon
Phew! That's a relief

Hi Alan. Sorry to hear of your problems; I have informed all concerned parties of the reason you are in purdah (so to speak). Lots of us are now searching our attics for bored mothers and left-handed screwdrivers in case they are of any use to you. Do hope you can 'get it together' soon, am keeping my eyes crossed for you!
Regards,
Windy

We had a cross-eyed cat once. I noticed that you invited Messr. Le Creme Anglais over, which is good. No sign of him yet? In fact less sign of yourself than usual, of late. Will keep an eye out.
Phew! That's a relief

Hallo! Sorry, I didn't realise you'd replied so quickly. No, no sign of M. Créme Anglaise as far as I can tell - thought he might have spotted your message centre but presumably he hasn't. I'll keep looking as well. I know I haven't been about much lately but I have been popping in to check the boards every so often. Last time I posted that Hugh Stone responded in a slightly off-beat way - he seems to be having a bit of a dig at Gail these days; I saw another post of his today in which he referred to coke and then immediately mentioned her name again. Bit off, I thought.
News from the front, I can announce that the rugby playing fraternity won their first league match of the season on Saturday - too late to move them off the bottom of the table but still a big boost. There was much celebration and carousing in the Clubhouse that night! And a couple of bottles of fizz (not the true C, the other one) were produced by the chief tart (hooker!), which went down very well (in more ways than one). Oh, and one of the two has been playing in a few Quiz Team matches lately, 3 wins in a row with losses in the beer round - unfortunately, last night it was the reverse. Next week the knock out competition starts!
How are your motherboard problems coming along? Hopefully, there will be good news soon. Must toddle off now, things to do... Catch you soon.
Regards Windy

Yeah, he's dropped into my place twice... I take it he's called on you?

Hi Alan, you've gone very quiet lately - is your pc playing up again? Hope all is well. How did the audition go the other week? Drop me a line when you can. Regards, Windy.

It's Thursday night/Friday morning. I'm aware that you have decided (for reasons known only to yourself) not to respond to certain people - I didn't realise I had become one of that band. Things have been busy where we are - a burglary yesterday, not very pleasant. Still, I won't bore you with it.
Phew! That's a relief

Thanks for the e-mail. Have you noticed that Spud's rating has been increased to 40%? How does he do it?!
