Wall Flower Girl,

It wasn't easy, but it was necessary. I'm not very religious, but if I come here to "get away from it all", click on a link that I think is going to be a bunch of girl-talk about what fools we men are (just recently divorced after nearly 26 years of marriage, I kind of want to know what sorts of things women gossip about, when they're making fun of men smiley - laugh ) and I find... well, THAT. So God led me there, so what could I do? I couldn't sleep last night. I'm not sleeping tonight either.

God, d'ya mind cutting me a break here? smiley - grovel

Thank you for your kind words. "Wall Flower Girl", huh? I was the male equivalent, only there isn't a word for it. I was (still am) a little guy, and I was such a smiley - geek before there was a word for it, a total schlemiel, a nebbish, and WE had to get up the nerve to ask the girls to dance. A boy who didn't have any nerve, decided he didn't care if he never danced a step in his life, and was trying to make like he never went to this obligatory school function was... class loser.

I know what it's like, pasted to the wall, trying to learn to teleport, NOW. This was a long, long time ago. They did the Hoky-Poky (which you probably don't know what that is) and I wanted to crawl under the furniture, because that's a big OK, YOU ARE GOINK TO HAFF FUN NOW, UNT YOU VILL LIKE IT, lights on, everybody in the gym dances (the cool guys have gone outside to smoke. They didn't do the Hoky-Poky, either, but that was because it was humiliating... I didn't have to worry about that, I was there already. smiley - laugh )

Maybe I am a little wound up still from last night.

Thank you for the compliment. I don't think it was an act of courage, just of necessity.
