A Conversation for The Offspring

So true!

I totally agree with you! True, the first album i bought by the Offspring was Americana but
a)they were the first rock/punk (whatever you wanna call them) band i liked...ie not pop
b)very few copies of the older albums existed in the uk before the release of americana (or maybe i wasnt looking hard enough)
In infact had to travel all the way to America to find all their albums and when i did find them i bought them all!
I love the "the world is cruel" attitude of the first 3 albums. Its such a nice break from all the happy clappy rock music which seems to be about nothing but members of the opposite sex as demonstrated by New Foung Glory, Bowling for Soup...etc ( all the wanna be punk bands of today!) Forgive me if im wrong but thats what the Backstreet boys sing about... not rock bands. What happened to the Sex pistols attitude of singing "kill everything that sucks" in a not singing at all fashion? Saying all this though i will always love Greg, Noodles, Ron and of course the gorgeous Dex and will keep buying there albums no matter how poppy they become! However i will NEVER like Incubus!!!
