Environmental protection

Sometimes it seems as if the simple ideas are extremely difficult to implement: people have a tendency to think "If it's that simple, why hasn't something been done about it before?"
or, conversely:
"There must be a catch ... !"

I've been trying for some time to persuade anybody who'se prepared to listen that a very simple idea which I've seen working (and working WELL!) elsewhere should be established in the UK.

Everyone I've spoken to has agreed that it's a good idea in principle - but when it comes to finding funding and/or publicity to get the scheme off the ground, suddenly everyone seems to be very busy with something else (the 'S.E.P.' reaction, which Hitchhiking afficionados will recognise!)

Without wishing to appear over-protective of my 'Big Idea' or even paranoid about somebody else making a fortune from developing the project when I've put so much effort into it, I'd appreciate some e-mail address or similar I could write to in the first instance rather than reveal "all" over an open site. I can say this much: the project concerns effective waste management, recycling a VERY common object literally thrown away by ALL of us on a daily basis: almost 800 MILLION of them were thrown away in 1999 ALONE!! (Latest available figures, you can probably add c. 5% p.a. to this figure!!!!!!!!!)
