I found the article, used trendy phrases, over much, and could have praised more. I have been to Jersey, and the Island, was very attractive. I do not know, where he got 'Tawdry,' feeling.
There is a lot more to it than Tax Evasion.
The series was good, early on. However, as with most series, particularly BBC ones, it went on too long, Last Of The Summer Wine, being the most obvious example, and got more violent. the Media, do not appear to appreciate the maxim-: 'Leave People Wanting More.' Bergerac's character, was selfish, regarding women. The story linesinvolving the German wartime occupation, was dealt with,a little simplistically. It is easier to criticize collaboraters, when one lives in a country, that has never been occupied, by a certain kind of enemy.

Have to agree with most of those points, though I thought it was clear that the article writer wasn't being serious (or at least I hope he wasn't being serious!), and was only writing about Bergerac because of an underlying affection for the programme.
