But English football clubs either never had sectarianism, or got it out of their systems a long time ago (There used to be a time many years ago when out of Man U and Man C, can't recall which is which, not that it matters a stuff, one was Catholic, Irish and Republican and the other was Protestant, Loyalist and sectarian. The same applied to Liverpool and Everton, but thankfully that sort of crap has vanished since from English footie)
the problem is - you lot are still infected with that particular disease, and right now the blue half of Glasgow has exported the more noxious form to Manchester for a major European final. How is it Rangers fans must be alone in Scotland in that you never fly the St Andrew's Cross or the one with the red lion on a yellow flag? I must have seen a thousand Union Jacks today toted by Rangers fans, together with several Football Association of Northern Ireland banners and a scattering of Red Hand of Ulster (as sported by the nastier Irish terrorists of the UDA/UVF kind). But no Scottish flags.
Oh, and the "F**k The Pope!" and "No Surrender!" chants.
And the last time you were in Manchester the more thuggish elements trashed the Catholic Truth Society bookshop in Albert Square. The word Catholic over the door was like a green rag to an Orange bull, was it? No wonder Rangers' travelling fans are called the Huns - vandalism and pillage follow on!
You might have had its black players in the past, true, but doesn't that Celtic chant still hold true?
"You'd rather sign a n****er than a Taig - yes you would!"
Oh, I am looking forward to going home later... up to 100,000 Rangers fans and the people from Leningrad, who thr papers claim have a nutjob contingent all of their own.
Wonderful.
