Well written good research, present a full picture. So well done.
But - I cannot agree that being a Special is more or less likely to mean you will be accepted as a regular on application. I am a recruiter for the MSC and my experience would suggest that the standards for acceptance for the MSC are different than that for the MPS.
It is therefore very wrong to suggest that anyone should avoid coming into the Special Constabulary if they have any ambition to join up at a later stage. Because in some way to do so would harm their prospects. All the statistics are telling us, is that in the main those officers who went on for selection for the regular force would never have passed any way.
