Not so hot at this whole journal thing - but then I never managed ever ever to keep a diary either.
So, this is it - three weeks until I go to Japan, land of the rising sun and sinking economy. When I accepted the job the money looked good compared to Sterling but for how much longer? Will I be using a small truck to take my banknotes to the shops to by a single rotten egg? God knows, hope not.
Have been making a concrete floor this week. All the lime in the cement tends to rot your clothes and antagonise nasal membranes, eyes and any little nicks you may have.
I've been working at this place for about a year and all I have learnt is that cement really ruins everything.
Roll on Japan.
I wonder if I can get a part time manual job out there where I can ruin all my clothes with dirt and aggregate?
