Love, yeas, that old chestnut - some queries
Djrossiross Started conversation Jan 20, 2002
Is it a virus, a malady, a defect? Is it a necessary evolutionary device to encourage propagation and co-operation? Is it necessary?
Are we better off with or without it?
Hmmmm
Is it the the apogee, the apex, the peak of emotional achievement?
Why?
Which is more noble; romantic, filial, fraternal, global...?
Does it really exist - or is it purely a convenient, self deluding construct?
Regarding romantic love:
Is it ever equal or is there always an imbalance of intensity?
Does it last or does it fade?
Are we so constantly bombarded with images, fictions, myths of successul romantinc love in order to subjugate us, to make us conform to some kind of moral normality (perhaps even to make us buy more roses etc..)?
Has a gene been identified?
Can it modified?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
