does anyone know how long inaccessible dead things in your house smell for? estimates so far run from an opotmistic few days up to 8 months. so far it has been a couple of weeks, but very wiffy. any idea how to get rid of that nasty dead smell?

It has been 5 months already, darling, is the smell still here ?
If so, that was not a dead rat, but more probably a dead elephant...
Try pulverizing black pepper and clove, it helps mummifying. But wear a mask and googles...
Good luck !

Boil 4 (cut up) lemons in a saucepan. Much better than air-freshner.
Gee, I hope you moved!
