Oh how you do that? Your name is Armadillo but it shows Icotan... LOL
Anyway, no you have not offended me at all, and I do appreciate any comments to help me (or helping?) to improve.
Usually when I ask Americans or English they find it hard to find a mistake or even to correct it, easy to understand in conversations but not so in writing.
Have I opened a bag? Really?

Not at all Canicula! Erm, my name is Ictoan on here, the Armadillos thingy is just the page title of my Home Space - I changed the code behind it. It's just a bit a of silliness, like the use of the tag in the cat let out of the bag phrase. My twisted sense of humour I am afraid.
I can fully identify with written versus spoken fluency. Back when I did French at school, I was very good at spoken french (well, for schoolboy french) but my written was attrocious! Since then I haven;t practiced it so I no longer say I can speak French. But it is a very different game. I think it is because written language seems to force you to think about it more and the mistakes are more obvious.
Ictoan is an acronym. And a very silly one at that.
Hope you had a good weekend! Have a monday or on me!

Hey, had on you! Maybe one day you will tell me what the Acronym stands for?
Yeah it is tough sometimes, and the more I am staring at what I have written, the more confusing it gets. that's why I turned to the site because otherwise I will stay at the level where I am...
French! Yeah 'Bout the same, takes me three days to be able to say sentences a Frenchman would understood. Understanding is ok, today I had somebody talking in French to me, and I was fine, but answering? The very moment I want to speak NOT in German, it will be English, no matter what.
Thanks for answering me!
