Hello fellow researcher!!!Welcome to h2g2, 
the official home of the hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy! Here are a few tips to get you started.....
First of all, smileys!!! They are very small, shy creatures and look very nice on notes and pages! Click on the smiley for a list of them....
Secondly the page http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A53146 will take you to the new researchers list where you can get general info on h2g2!
Thirdly, become an assistant community editor (ACE) or maybe even a guru! Go to the volunteers page for more details.....
Also, if you want to find anything on h2g2, type it in the search area and click on the link!
That's about all the info I can think of @ the mo! 
Ah yes! If you want to design a page with cool picture and animations and stuff, then go to the GuideML help page and follow the instructions there!
