The Intermittent Return of Light
Z Posted Nov 15, 2004
I was! I only went online during the coffee breaks in conference when I was all networked out, after two days of confernence.
It was great, because all the delegates were students who had paid our own confernece fee, (ok only £15) and were willing to sleep on someones floor, and were all young enough to believe we could change the world.
There were speakers from Nigerea who were students there and doing really incredably projects to provide sex education in their own countries. The rest of the speakers were experts, and me!
I shared a session with two 'experts', which was possibly the most terrifying experience of my life. But got a really good reception, and one of the experts told me he learnt something new.

We're OK. If you want, I can do a summary or something of how things've been--no time right now though (I really shouldn't be on right now)

Well, the biggest thing was, of course, when Faith was born! On my h2g2 birthday, no less I've been home since, and while finances have been a bit more than tight, I'm glad I didn't go back to w*rk. Or, rather, taht I didn't go back to getting a paycheck, since I'm working a lot harder than I did at the treasurer's office! There's been downs too, of course, especially since I realized (after I (mostly) stopped nursing and so my hormones were (mostly) back to 'normal') that I'd had a small touch of post partum depression Obviously not too much, as I didn't even notice until it went away on its own--or, rather, I didn't realize why it was that I was overreacting to stuff so often.
I started working on these ( http://www.disciplescross.com ) and have made a few sales, but not many. In fact, it's in a bit of a hiatus right now, because I've been kinda busy. Haven't made any since the end of September, actually...I really need to make some more, as I've a box of supplies sitting over there *points* One reason I'm busy is that, for the last month or so, I've been chasing 2 toddlers and not just one during the week I'm watching a little girl that's 3 months younger than Faith 4 days a week while her mommy's at work (which is why I shouldn't have been on at that time yesterday--both girls were awake!) I'm not totally insane--I've got about a third of the living room fenced off for the girls to play in Originally I was just going to be watching Genevieve for a couple months, because the family was going to move up to Oregon to be with family, but now that's been postponed until at least summer, so that helps some with the finances.
Taht's pretty much it, really--just been doing babycare for a little over 16 months now
