The ACT and SAT

One thing about the ACT--it does not, as 'they' claim, test knowledge in academic subjects. It is simply a test of what 'they' call "reading comprehension" and of math. The SAT mostly tests vocabulary and math, with a little bit of that "reading comprehension" bit. They are both overrated, and I hope they remain that way because they make me seem smart.

Yes, they are on their way out in the US. Some of the Colleges of the University of California are starting to replace SAT and ACT requirements with subject based requirements like the Advanced Placement tests. Meanwhile, aptitude tests like the SAT and ACT are gaining supporters in Britain, who would like to see the subject based A-levels disappear.
