No, no, no! Timothy Leary didn't invent LSD. LSD was invented in the 1950s by a guy called Dr (Erich?) Hoffmann. A friend of mine named his band after him.
Timothy Leary did take rather a lot, but he was no chemist.

However Mr Leary was a great exponet of that much more organic and sassy hallucinogen, DMT. If LSD is mother earth saying "Hey there!" then DMT is saying "Oh, yeah baby, make me scream! Make me scream like a cat in a spin dryer."
