my first 4 mocks were all language mocks:

1. English
2. French
3. Science (it is a universal language)
4. German

i also have a french oral tomorrow.

i hate languages. why couldn't everyone talk english and english lessons be about creative writings? does anyoen have an answer?

because life's a bitch. I was always a big fan of English.

English is a stupid language, it dosen't make any sense. We should all go back to speaking latin.









I really do like english, it's just I'm not very good at spelling. Is English in England easier than it is here in america?

oh yeah, english is much easier herein england. one reason is because no-one really care about spelling anymore since everyone just texts each other using shorthand. i even do that on h2g2, like say ing 'u' for 'you' and ur for 'you are' or 'your'. the only reason i hate english lessons is becaus we don't do anything fun, we just analyse poetry and short stories and shakespeare and boring stuff like that.

I did Maths and History,as well as English language, after an abortive first year of Maths, physics and Chemistry (god thgat was a mistake!)

i've already done my german reading and listening mocks tango. they are not very hard.

but what is hard is the french oral i just did 20 minutes ago. i hate orals. i just suck at them.

egon - why's u do such a boring subjects as english for A-level? it's just so boring. i think we should protest for GCSE english to be creative writing and looking at HHGG, how DNA writes, the humour, and things like that. then, for A-level we should look at DNA's other HHGG books. that would be so much better then what we have now.

English at GCSE is almost all poetry.

I found English Language A-Level fascinating, especially all the linguistics stuff, and there was original writing coursework. I enjoyed it so much, I even did a linguistics modulke at uni last year as an extra module.

perhaps the problem is just my boring teacher...

I found English boring at GCSe, but that's because we did so much literature- I mean there's only so many times you can re-read Lord of the f***ing Flies before you start to crack up.

Thanks, not sure that will help when I have to spend an hour writing about dead pigs and obscure sexual inuendos. (don't ask, my english teacher thinks everything is about sex, think about what they do with the "stick sharpened at both ends" )
