Spiders

Over the last few nights, my sleep has been disturbed by the threatened presence of spiders. It all started three nights ago, I was nicely tucked up in bed listening to my radio, when David Bowie suddenly gave way to a rhythmic clangy-thuddy sound. This sound didn't go away, but infact got a bit louder. After a (very little) while, I worked out what this was, and shot up out of bed, just in time to see a HUGE spider swaggering it's way across my pillow. Well, I don't stand for that kind of thing, so I got a sleeping bag, and slept downstairs on the couch!

In the morning, this spider had the barefaced cheek to still be in my room, roaming around the top of the walls. Luckily, I managed to get someone to throw it out the window for me.

I thought (and hoped) that that would be an end to it. NO. This morning, there were two huge spiders sat in the corner next to my door. When will the taunting end? Why do they pick my room? Over the last few years I have tried everything. I closed the windows and slept in near sauna conditions, convinced that they were getting in that way. Then, after spending a year in a drafty student house, and not seeing any spiders, I thought that therefore they don't like drafts. So I have left my windows wide open this year, to encourage drafts, and it hasn't made a bit of difference. What can I do next?
