I used to look forward to. Now, Thanksgiving is my favorite 'big' holiday -- I know I'll have someone to spend it with. Xmas, not so much. I always hope my friends will have a wonderful Xmas -- it seems only fair, since I have had so many in my life. 
This year, I'm giving some lucky friends a hand drawn coupon for a free week of house or dog or cat sitting. I think that's a pretty good gift, and it makes me happy to do it.
