Are the shaped or fold uppy ones? J used mostly terry nappies when he was little, unless we went out for the day or on holiday when I took disposables.

Shaped ones were too expensive in those days - we didn't have the benefit of ebay to get them secondhand, and not enough people were using them to want to sell them on anyway!

They're the shaped ones, although you can still get the old skool ones

Is it what your littly wears?

My SIL used to have hers collected, washed and returned, so never actually bought them. That's another service that wasn't available when J was a baby.

Maybe when I'm old and decrepit they'll be available to him for my benefit.

Well she grew out of the ones we bought for her and we've not really had enough money to invest in more It turned out it was cheaper to buy them and wash them ourselves and it really isn't that much work cos mine wash well at 40 degrees and you can tumble dry them if the worst comes to the worst

I was reading in some true story magazine recently about mums who don't use nappies, but learn to 'read' when their babies need to 'go', and also pop them over the loo after eating, sleeping, playing etc.

Not sure that would suit me... sounds a bit like housetraining a puppy!
