But as they've recently gotten to the Floyd and are now playing Shine On you Crazy Diamond, that's fine by me

That's somewhat sad, quite frankly.
I'd require any loud neighbour music to be in my personal Top 20 before complaining.

It's odd... they say familiarity breeds contempt, but I've become strangely fond of AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" recently. Just as well, as it seems to be the only record the bloke downstairs owns.

I'd be grateful - I once spent an entire summer living above a chap (yes, man) who only owned Emma Bunton's 'What I Am'.

I've never been a big fan of Weird Al's 'covers'. I prefer his original style-parody stuff, to be honest. And the polkas, of course.

Ah...you need to be a bit more specific, my girl.
- His covers are 'song-parodies' - fairly obvious, and usually food-related.
- His original music is almost exclusively 'style-parody'; that is - writing an original song along the musical guidelines of a well-established style. Probably the best of these is 'Frank's 2000" TV' which is a remarkably accurate parody of REM's music, without actually copying anything directly.
- Then there's the polkas, which are pretty much unclassifiable.
