I read this a couple of months ago, and yes, it does seem very interesting. Some of the things he said made me think a bit.

Same here. I was telling one of the girls at work about it today and all she said was 'oh crikey!' when I mentioned the civil war thing. I had a look on the net for the time jump *video* which is alleged to exist, but to no avail. I think it'd make pretty interesting viewing.

What I found interesting is that he apparently stayed at his parents place even in this time, and from what I could tell after reading the messages, he'd met himself as a kid as well. That was a bit freaky.
The best bit, I thought was that he asked people if they'd want to send a message to their past selves when he went back in time. And of course, since he'd not just be going back in this time-line, but another time-line, the messages would not magically appear at the persons desk, so there was no evidence that he relayed them or not. Genious..
