No entry on the perfect roobeer float. Or perhaps just how to concoct one without it exploding from your glass would do. Mmm Rootbeer Float...

1) Get clean Walter Bishop glass from cupboard
2) Pour rootbeer...
3) ...down the drain 
4) Fill glass with cola or other drinkable substance
5) Add a scoop of Kelly's Cornish ice cream
6) Take drink into garden and relax in glorious sunshine
7) Simples!

Skip steps 3 and 4 and we might be getting somewhere. But then as step one relates to something which is not mine, then I will have to modify that too... oh man!
Also you neglected to mention that you should place a saucer under your glass before you put the ice cream in and will still probably need to mop up the overflow.
This method is far from perfected! I should probably experiment further.
