Well, i got to see the Final Fantasy. I enjoyed it immensly. It's got the same "feel" to it as the games...as well as having someone called Cid turn up (running series joke)...but no Chocobos or Moogles (which admittedly would be pretty hard to fit into the film). It looks great, everything's life-like and the naimation is very good, but there is still room for improvement...but it is without a doubt the most realistic CGI film thus far...just hope Square gets a shot at another one...
