If you are wearing nice italian leather shoes with slippery soles right now, you might want to dump them somewhere so you can RUN to the nearest movie theatre and see this movie.
The Matrix has got everything and more.
Complete with kung fu, internet, chicks in tight plastic clothes, Keanu Reeves, lot's of cool one-liners, amazing effects, an original idea and a killer soundtrack.
If you are not the type to like this kind of movie, please go see it anyway, so they will make a lot of money and make a sequel or a series with a serious budget.

A fact that almost everybody seems to miss is that the no doubt supercool design of the film and its actors is just the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth

I think it would be quite dismissive to label the matrix as ssome kind of mere (?) action film. Sure it pays homage to alot of directors who specialise in that kind of thing, however as frank says there is a more sinister situation being portrayed around the idea of different realities, what is real, do I know myself, can I ever be sure of what is around me. Is life a fiction, a dream? It's obviously not a new subject but the film has provided me and perhaps a whole host of other admirers wwith a taste of THEORY that could be explored. Much of which I guess will speedily streak right over my head and others.
Go and see it - YES. Go and see it a lot. I'm sure I missed something...
...chris Gould thought it was the best film he'd ever seen but then I don't know if he's still of that opinion. Anyone want to caome and see it again?
