Hi there, Peanut! How have you been? I am OK. My mom is doing poorly, so I'm dealing with that mostly. I was going to do NaJoPoMo, but I dropped out after only a couple of posts. Good to see you here!

I'm sorry to hear about your Mum, it is hard isn't it?

My Mum age is starting to show, with an increasing list of ailments and her osteoporsis means breaks and fractures most recently to her back. While she and my step-dad can manage about the house, outside they can't independently, doctors and medical appointments, shopping, banking, bill paying and paperwork and officialdom are too confusing to deal with.

They are not yet prepared to accept that I am no longer a daughter helping out on temporary basis but their reliance has moved on to something more long term, while there is the real prospect of Mum back healing, it has been one thing after another so in reality this has been the last half year, with long periods before that albeit with gaps when things were like this.

I get that, it is hard to adjust, so will wait for them to catch up.

So that has been me adjusting.
