Gazongola-Small Time Whovian and Big Time Nutter (and now old enough to drink, but politics is still a less favourable subject) Started conversation Nov 6, 2004
Hello ZSF. I was wondering if you could tell me what the Guide ML is for getting the name of the person visiting, on my page. E.g. Hello Gazongola?

Hey! That's a great improvement - and it's quite subtle too - I had too look to see my name. It's really neat, isn't it, Gazongola. Well done!

Thank you for the chocolate, it's just that I don't like eating words.
Do you mean that it will make people look?

Yes, it will, Gazongola, although if you made the font larger and/or a different colour for the viewer's name, it would be even better. You can find out how to do this here : A690518
Another suggestion -
The Witcing Hour Is On Hand - needs an 'h' in Witching.

Anything I can help with? I'm not doing much active scouting at the moment, as my RL is fairly hectic at the moment, so if it's to do with an entry, I won't have seen newish entries.

It's a protest against my nickname being moderated by iCan. It's happened to others too. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ican/Club1041

iCan, although one of the DNA communities, has different rules than the other ones. In particular, it specifies that people must use their own names - and 'Zarquon's Singing Fish!' isn't the name I go by in real life, so they failed my nickname. I don't think I have ever posted on iCan, which makes it more interesting. Not only that, but they pointed me in the direction of the House Rules on the Hub, which are the ones I signed up to (and not the iCan ones!). So I wrote back, challenging the moderation - and they ignored me, so I put in a formal complaint with the BBC.
The campaign on iCan came about as a result of them doing this with other h2g2 people too.
I've now had an apology from them and they are doing their best to sort it out from their end. Makes a bit of a mockery of Single Sign On, though.
