There's a project here that I'd like to help out on (A655265, Electricity Generation), but the original researcher (Ema, U186520) seems to have disappeared with no postings or articles since December last year. I've left a message on their Personal Space and on the project homepage, but if they don't reappear what (if anything) can I do?
Thanks in advance,

I think there is an "overhaul" of projects going on, hopefully that will sort this problem out. It shouldn't be long.

Thanks Tango.
What help did you have in mind Dolt? We are considering putting absent Researchers projects into either Peer Review or Flea Market, depending on how finished the individual entries are.
If you can write three extra entries, and make sure that the entries already done are up to scratch, then you can take over the project and you'll get the Field Researchers badge once it's done. If you were thinking of less work than that (and we wouldn't blame you if you were!), and just want to add to the current entries, then we can give you the editing rights to the entries and let you take them through Peer Review. Both options will need the original Researcher credited on her work. Let me know what you think.

Thanks to you both for your help so far!
I originally came across this project because I was thinking of writing an article about gas turbines and was checking to see what was already in the Guide. However, I think the idea of a University project on power generation is fantastic and I'm quite prepared to take over the reins. I've already got a few ideas about what could be done and how to develop the project and I totally agree about the need to give Ema proper credit for her brilliant idea and work so far.
I happily concede that this will need quite a bit of work but I reckon it'll be well worth the effort - and if I can get a funky badge out of it, so much the better!

I'll give you editing rights to the index page, so that you can add the details that you are going to be doing.
The GuideML on that page doesn't work properly, so I've had to change the page to plain text. If you can't work out how to fix it, then let either me or one of the Gurus know, and we'll help you to fix it. I don't have time to do it myself right now. I'm supposed to be going to work!

Thanks, Mina...
...but...
I've got the project page appearing on my Personal Space now, but don't actually have editing rights. Of course, I don't know how long these mysterious editorial processes are supposed to take, so maybe I'm just being impatient...?
I think some of the links on the page were deliberately incorrectly tagged, because the pages they would refer to haven't actually been created. It shouldn't be too difficult to sort out.

I've changed it, so you should be able to get into it now. Once you've updated thing a little, let mw know and I'll change the University page so that your name is on it.

Right, I'm in there now!
I've updated the project page to reflect what I intend to do. I've left the links to Ema's original articles on there, but I'm not sure how much of those I'll actually be able to use - only A656084 (Generators) seems close to being complete.
And I've already got a helpful Researcher volunteering to help out! How is that? What a wonderful place this is...
